Ingredients
- 1 package croissant dough
- 6 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 3 oz pepperoni slices
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Unroll the croissant dough and separate it into triangles.
- Cut the pepperoni slices in half so they fit neatly onto the dough.
- In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, garlic powder, oregano, and basil.
- Brush this herb-butter mixture over each dough triangle.
- Place pepperoni slices at the wide end of each triangle.
- Sprinkle a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella over the pepperoni.
- Gently roll up each triangle, starting at the wide end, to enclose the filling.
- Place rolls on your baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
- Brush the tops with the remaining butter mixture.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden and the cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm!
Notes
Want your croissants extra crispy? Try baking them on a wire rack instead of a baking sheet! You can also switch up the flavor by using salami, ham, or any deli meat you like instead of pepperoni.
For a cheesy boost, sprinkle some grated Parmesan on top before popping them in the oven. Like a little heat? A pinch of red pepper flakes will do the trick.
And if you’re going meat-free, just skip the pepperoni and load them up with veggies like spinach or mushrooms!
